Sumimasen By Isabelle Boinot

Friday, December 10, 2010 4 Comments A+ a-

After falling in love with Isabelle Boinot's Japan blogs I just had to order a copy of her Japan sketchbook journal 'Sumimasen'. Sumimasen includes illustrated sketches, photographs & souvenirs from her trip to Japan. Ironically Isabelle was on another trip to Japan when I contacted her about purchasing this book, she was kind enough to send me a copy from my fave travel destination.

The inner cover of Sumimasen is covered with stickers from her Japan travels

Restaurant sketches from Okariba, Kyoto

Lovely Japan handkerchiefs

Isabelle fills pages with kawaii Japan illustrations, paper souvenir cut-offs, maps, ticket stubs & stamps

Yummy Japan treats & trinkets

Stamps collected from Ikebukuro's Sunshine City in Tokyo

There is something interesting about seeing similar, but different consecutive photographs together on a page

Pretty Japan paper bags

Isabelle sent me a Japan 'Parco' postcard with a thank you message in my package!

I also bought a copy of Isabelle's latest sketchbook journal creation; 'Prego' which covers her trip to Venice Italy, which I will post about on the weekend!
