Finders Keepers: Gaffa Gallery Sydney
Last weekend I went to see the Finders Keepers market at Sydney's Gaffa gallery to check out some of my fave emerging designers in art & handmade.
The event include work by some of my fave illustrators; Andrea Smith & Nikki Catalano.
I love all of Nikki Catalono's whimsical children's storybook like creations. I wanted to buy everyone of her prints on the Gaffa walls as well as her cards. Each illustration is unique, telling a different story through illustration, colour and textiles.
I settled on just buying Nikki's "Girl and her Toys" card for the moment, as I have been wanting to buy it for some time. Even her business cards are cute!
My new blog crush is Made by White, who makes these beautiful and classic, hand painted vintage 'Storybook Rabbit' plates, as well as wooden perspex brooches, earrings and necklaces.
Frankie even had their own pop-up reading room shop that contained; Handmade cards, photobooks, Frankie magazines, Sweet Treats & Afternoon Tea recipe books, 2011 calender and the new cloth-bound 2011 Frankie diary!
