Friday, September 23, 2011 10 Comments A+ a-

Yay! Its finally here my new zine 'Japan In A Collection' is now available to buy in my online store!
If you love Studio Ghibli, Blythe, Sanrio, Disney and Japan mascots you may love this! A travel guide, with a twist on the best places to shop within a collection of my own trip mementos.

More exciting news! I will be launching my zine tomorrow within Kit's Mini Mart which is part of the Sydney Rocks Pop-Up Project,
which Kit has kindly offered to give me space within her shop! Here we will be selling our handmade goods and hosting craft workshops along with some other lovely peeps.

Eeep! I am so excited! Been so busy making a 'Kawaii Pop' gallery wall of all my latest creations and handmade goods to sell.
So please do pop in and say hi!
I will keep you up to date with new products and workshop information in future posts.

Hi Jenna,
Now I'm really curious! I have two questions,

- Do you read, write and speak Japanese?
- When did you visit Japan the last time?

Oh wonderful!!!! Jenna this looks like it's going to be amazing! I haven't finished mine yet, super bummed, I think it's because it's not so easy to find an affordable printer in the U.S. so I'm kinda dragging my heels. I definitely want to see yours, are you offering a pdf form too?

Kelly - Thanks Kel, Yeah the Mini Mart is going to be a whole lot of fun :)

Johanna - Wonderful to hear from you as I love your blog!
- Most of my book and magazine collection is all in Japanese. I can't read them, but from looking at them all the time so you do pick up a few things. I love Japan so I like to study it's different subcultures so I know lots of key phrases and names of items and places.
- I visited Japan in 2009, I have been obsessed with it ever since. As you can see it influences most of my work.

Jannese - It took me awhile to get mine togther too. I have no plans to put it in pdf form yet as it's design works better as a hard copy.

Makiko - Such lovely words - Thank you! Hope you are safe from the typhoon in Japan!
